Fully Adhered Roof

According to industry experts fully adhered refers to when a roofing product such as epdm membrane roofing is glued to a substrate with a commercial grade adhesive.

This requires the 4 x8 insulation boards to serve the dual role of insulating and securing the roof to the metal deck which requires far more screws. As a result fully adhered roof systems have fastening patterns of 12 24 fasteners per 4 by 8 rigid insulation board far more than the 5 8 fasteners required for mechanically attached roof systems. The insulation is mechanically fastened to the roof deck. Fully adhered roofing fully adhered roof attachments are glued directly to the insulation layer below it.

The insulation boards both insulate and secure the roof to the metal deck. Fully adhered roof systems offer the highest degree of stability and uplift protection. Roofs that are fully adhered are glued directly to the insulation below. Thick membranes edpm rubber ranging from 45mm to 90mm are fully adhered with approved bonding adhesive over insulation.
